Florence Wang

In my painting practice, I aim to improve my understanding of contemporary impressionism by blending it with a variety of approaches, to capture the essence of the world around me. My inspiration comes from personal experiences, my surroundings, and the stories of those closest to me. These elements form the foundation for creating visually compelling and emotionally resonant pieces. I primarily work with oil and acrylic paints, exploring various subjects such as still life, portraits, and landscapes.  Beyond the visual qualities, I am drawn to the symbolic representations of my subject matters. Through my work, I strive to engage the interplay of light and colour, weaving narratives and symbolism that could connect with the viewers.
