This is a workshop to make paper with plants using the paper-making method conducted by Sayoko Suwabe.
She will describe how to make paper step by step with a handout made by herself. You can take home about 3-6 sheets of paper after it dries.

This event will run parallel to Sayoko Suwabe solo exhibition 'Vicissitude: decay and transmutation of images'.
Sayoko's work is about the sustainability of images and the premise that everything perishes and decays. She observes the process of deterioration of the painting. For this first solo exhibition in Melbourne, She will show several interactive works such as installation using 3D printing with plastic, painting, and paper-making on the theme of decay and transmutation.
